SIMULATION UPDATES
- Richard's comparison of G4 and Fast MC
- Everything looks
consistent - looked at distributions of angle vs. momentum for scattered electron, meson, and forward baryon
- Effect of the crossing angle (25 mrs ~1.4 degrees) can be observed in forward neutron distributions - independent of ion beam energy these peak at ~1.4 degrees, become more narrow as the energy increases
- Discussion of any remaining technical details for pion SF, pion FF simulations
- main goal: want to run event samples through detector + smearing
- EIC smearing software is being updated to include forward detection
- Virtual detectors: for April 13 Working meeting would like to evaluate virtual detectors and correlations
- Discussion of event generators
- currently support LUND file input into detector simulation
- event generators could be stored with the software framework - the idea is to have the generator that was used to generate specific plots available in the same place
ACTION ITEMS
- List of items for the 13 April Working meeting
- Work out technical details for pion SF, pion FF simulations, e.g. include realistic beam energy smearing etc.
- Neutron detection efficiency
- Hyperon (Lambda) decay and reconstruction
- Virtual detectors
- Circulate an agenda for the 13 April Working meeting
- General structure: common meeting interleaved with working meetings on simulations
- Phone meeting in week April 6 goals:
- discussions including theory, lattice, global fits plans for upcoming Workshops
