Sealant Characteristics

How to remove it

Pictures of the process of removing parts of the detector glued with sealant
Removing part of the detector that doesn't require special cares. In this case, the top cover plate. Just heat it up to 50 oC (temperature of the sealant) and force it with hands.
Heat gun was a easy way to heat this part.
Parts that require special cares, like the PMT shielding with PMT inside, need to be heated up slowly and uniformly. A heat belt can be used together with the heat gun to do this.
Auxiliary tools, like blades and scalpel, can help with the process.
