JLAB DETECTORS
- PbWO4 readout with APDs/SiPM (Andres, Rishab, Richard)
- Discussion about first signal in response to LED as seen on oscilloscope
- Observed tail is on order us, while LED blinks on order nanoseconds - it is clear that signal is in response to LED, but unclear what the output from the circuit really is. Changing the HV does not change the observed signal
- Action Items:
- Check setup with PMT instead of SiPM to rule out the the problem is the LED itself
- Check amplifier - signal expected from photodiode
- Check with Rainer (Giessen U.) and Stepan (JLab/Hall B) about documentation or any other information on the amplifier
- longer term: need to check polarity of signal from SiPM - CUA ADC cannot read positive
CERN DETECTORS (Rachel)
- Discussion about the ongoing tracker meeting (provides operation and status updates, as well as ideas and projections for future phases)
- the inner pixel tracking detector will be installed in the next few month
- CUA's part of the pixel detector disks is 1/2 done and already at CERN
DATA ANALYSES (Marco, Salina)
- Discussion about Marco's analysis of the kaon form factor from JLab data
- Spectrometer optics are now correct
- optimized binning in t
- systematic studies for cross section extraction ongoing
- Action item: send updated plots
- Discussion about Salina's studies of projections for additional pion physics with CUA's kaon experiment E12-09-011 running in 2017 at JLab
- made simulations of the reaction channel and extracted number of events expected
- Action item: bin in t with equal statistics, extract pion form factor and estimate uncertainties with given statistics
