DETECTORS AT JLAB

SHMS AEROGEL CHERENKOV

• Discussion about recent cosmic run results and PMT response

• Noise in raw time spectra - possibly due to noise that was not visible during KPP because of smaller time window (160 ns vs 400 ns) and cosmic vs. real data taking differences (e.g. tracking requirements)
• One PMT (channel #6 negative - see slides) needs to be replaced. Use one of the XP4572 from detector that was at CERN (List of these PMTs).

NEUTRAL PARTICLE SPECTROMETER

• Purchase order for dimension measurement instrument submitted

• Discussion that need to measure dimensions of both, crystals and PMTs (requirement on PMTs is 19.2mm diameter)

• Work on database to store individual crystal information ongoing

• Discussion of crystal characterization results from about 20% of the crystals

DIRC

• Making progress - in process of preparing bars for transportation

CERN DETECTORS

• Discussion about ongoing Fermilab based statistics course and grant writing activities

• Discussion about instrumentation for CUA clean room

DATA ANALYSIS

• Preparing for APS DNP meeting
