JLAB DETECTORS (Arthur)
- SHMS aerogel detector was checked for light leaks (results of these tests) - all looks ok
- Note that odd channel numbers correspond to the PMTs on the left as viewed from the target
- Wider pedestal in accidental plots indicates that there is still some noise in the system as previously discussed
- Discussion about Key Performance Parameter (KPP) run readiness
- SHMS aerogel detector is ready including both hardware and software/Analyzer - DAQ software for aerogel detector has been checked against Vardan's Analyzer and gives consistent results
- Need to update Hall C detector Wiki following example from calorimeter and DCs
- PMT bases are currently still held by their pin connectors - need to devise permanent solution after KPP runs
- Online spectra: for KPP will use mode 9 including ADC spectra/wave forms
- KPP runs for Hall C will start on 6 March
- NPS prototype has been modified to work with 8 crystals - need a new power supply for signal analysis
- Plans for JLab detectors after KPP runs:
- SP-11 aerogel tray finalize (install aerogel last layer, new cover, labeling of tray)
- NPS HV divider tests with single-crystal prototype
- NPS flash ADC tests with 8-crystal prototype
PBWO4 CRYSTALS
- Discussion about prototype construction (Richard)
- mechanical assembly design complete - one example of the design drawings
- components are on order
- ready for mechanical assembly after spring break
- APD readout (Andres)
- Found a problem with the LED board and working on fixing that
PIXEL DETECTORS (Rachel)
- Half of BPIX has been installed. The rest is anticipated to be installed over the next weeks.
- All blown fuses have been replaced and have not had any problems since (albeit with limited testing)
- DAQ development is ongoing - this will provide online software for module testing
- Beam is expected by 1 April with first collisions by 1 May
TCS PROJECTIONS (Vardan, Pawel)
- Discussion about Figure Of Merit and interpretation in Hall A/C and Hall B
- for CLAS/Hall B the detector acceptance is the product of detector and geometric efficiency, different from Hall A/C
- typical approach for DVCS was to compare experiments based on kinematic reach and precision - may need to modify this approach for TCS proposal
